Nottingham played one First-Class match in 1831 beating Sheffield by 125 runs. The game was played on 29, 30 and 31 August at the Hyde Park Ground in Sheffield. Nottingham, batting first, made 184 with George Jarvis top scoring with 49. Sheffield replied with 67. John Kettleband scored 39 in Nottingham’s second innings of 98; Sheffield were then 90 all out.
