Ali Brown will open alongside Riki Wessels as Notts Outlaws bring their Clydesdale Bank 40 campaign to a close against Lancashire Lightning at Trent Bridge on Monday (play starts 1.45pm).

Brown will call time on his professional career at the end of the season and is likely to be making his final appearance in Notts colours.

Darren Pattinson will lead the pace attack with Ben Phillips also included havinh caught the eye with his match winning knock against Somerset in the Outlaws’ previous outing.

Darren Bravo is also included although Alex Hales and Samit Patel are missing due to their inclusion in the England squad for Wednesday’s Twenty20 International.

Technically, Notts could still qualify for the semi-finals of the competition although run rate calculations make progression a virtually impossible task.

Brown’s service to Nottinghamshire since joining from Surrey in 2009 will be recognised with a presentation during the interval. BBC East Midlands Today sports presenter Colin Hazelden has been appointed to host the match.
