Set a hefty 311 to win from their 50 overs, Louis Bhabra’s 74 off 56 balls – together with a host of cameo contributions throughout the order – got the Academy perilously close.
However, with two runs needed off the last ball – and nine wickets down – Anis Raza was stumped off Notts second teamer Dominic Brown, handing the home side a thrilling victory.
