Nottinghamshire are facing a big ask to salvage their clash with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl following a commanding century from James Vince.

Fidel Edwards took six wickets to bowl Notts out for 166, giving the home side a first innings lead of 111.

Then a knock of 147 from the Hampshire captain in a partnership of 171 with wicket keeper Tom Alsop, who will continue on Day Three on 63*, took the tie away from Notts.

Matt Milnes took a couple of wickets with the home side closing the second day on 253-4
