Nottinghamshire will begin their competitive Second XI campaign with a three-day Second XI County Championship match against neighbours Derbyshire at Lady Bay, starting on Monday 16 April.

The team’s first away game follows a week later when they visit Scarborough to take on Yorkshire in a friendly match to be played over three days, beginning on 23 April.

The first Second XI Trophy game is also at home, when Warwickshire are the visitors to Lady Bay on Thursday 3 May.

Notts’ first match in the Second XI T20 will be against Derbyshire at the 3aaa County Ground on Monday 11 June.

Last year’s Second XI County Championship North Division winners, Lancashire, will provide the opposition in a three-day competitive clash at Liverpool, starting on Tuesday 31 July.

The final Second XI fixture of the season will see Notts travel to Warwickshire, at a venue yet to be decided, for a three-day friendly, starting on Tuesday 18 September.

Some of the venues for home games away from Lady Bay are still to be finalised, but Grantham, Oakham School and Worksop College could all host games.

Liam Patterson-White, Tom Keast, Matt Carter and Connor Marshall are among those expected to feature prominently for the Notts team in 2018.

Before the action gets underway for real, a three-day friendly has been arranged against Loughborough University from 2 to 4 April.
