The Notts Outlaws will send a strong squad for a T20 double header against Essex at Grantham CC tomorrow.

What is officially a Second XI match will be used to help preparations for the start of this summer’s Vitality Blast tournament, which gets underway on Wednesday.

Defending champions Notts will host the Birmingham Bears at Trent Bridge on that occasion (6.30pm start) in what is a re-match of last year’s final. Get your tickets.

Among those travelling to Grantham are overseas duo, Captain Dan Christian and Ish Sodhi, along with regular first team players such as Chris Nash, Riki Wessels, Luke Fletcher and Harry Gurney.

Some of the Club’s talented Academy players will also be on show, with the likes of Jordan Cook, Joey Evison, Chris Gibson, Liam Patterson-White and Lyndon James named in the squad.

The two matches are scheduled to start at 11.30am and 3pm and the ground address is Gorse Lane, Grantham, NG31 7UE, with admission and general parking free for Nottinghamshire members. Boundary parking, however, will be charged.
