Jake Ball has been made available for Notts Outlaws' crunch Royal London One-Day Cup play-off match with Kent at Trent Bridge tomorrow (11am) by the ECB.

The 27-year-old seamer was named in the England one-day squad earlier this month after a series of excellent performances in white and red ball cricket at the start of the 2018 season.

Mansfield-born Ball was left out of the side that was defeated in Scotland on Sunday and also the team for the first Royal London One-Day International against Australia at the Kia Oval today.

As a result, he has been released for Notts’ key 50-over knock-out match, which will decide who travels to play Worcestershire in the semi-final on Sunday.

A similar situation means Kent will also be able to call on wicketkeeper batsman Sam Billings.

Outlaws Head Coach Peter Moores is delighted to welcome Ball back into the fray and said: “Jake’s been a key component of our one-day side this season, so to have him in our squad is great news.

“He is a quality performer with the white ball in his hand and he loves playing in the big matches at Trent Bridge – and this game is undoubtedly one of those.”
