Nottinghamshire Women bring their short one-day season to its conclusion tomorrow, knowing the result of their match could affect the final standings at both ends of the County Championship Division One table.

They travel to Harrogate CC to take on a Yorkshire side just two points behind Hampshire, who lead the way in the race for the title.

Kent, who are also in with a shot of finishing top of the pile, host already-relegated Somerset.

At the other end of the standings, several teams will be seeking the points they need to ensure they don’t go down along with the West Country side.

Warwickshire currently occupy that unwanted position, but Notts, Middlesex and Lancashire could also be subject to the drop, depending on the final round of results.

The Yorkshire-Nottinghamshire and Lancashire-Warwickshire are both repeats of last year’s final one-day fixtures, which also proved pivotal in deciding the title.

Notts beat Yorkshire and Lancashire beat Warwickshire, enabling the Red Rose County to finish as champions.
