Nottinghamshire teenager Jordan Cook has been selected for an Invitational XI to play South Africa Under-19s at Loughborough on 3 and 4 July.

The right-arm off-spinner is set to play in the game that will act as a warm up for the tourists ahead of Test and Royal London One-Day International Under-19 series against England.

“It’s a well-deserved selection for Jordan based on his performances over the last two years, where he has consistently picked up wickets,” said Elite Pathway Manager Matt Wood.

“He did well in our Academy games earlier in the season and I know the Young Lions Head Coach, Jon Lewis, came to watch him, so clearly he was impressed with what he saw.”
