Heavy rain and bad light forced play to be abandoned on the third day of Nottinghamshire's Second XI County Championship match with Durham.

Lunch came and went and, with no improvement in the weather conditions, a draw was agreed by the two sides.

It meant there was no further addition to the hosts' second innings overnight score of 107-1,  with Jake Libby having scored 55 not out and Liam Patterson-White 41 not out.

Notts took 12 points from the match, with Durham claiming 13.

Notts hope to get back in action when they make the short trip to Grantham for a Second XI Trophy fixture tomorrow.
