Nottinghamshire return to Grantham tomorrow for a Second XI Trophy match against Durham, starting at 11am.

The 50-over match follows the successful staging of two T20 matches against Northamptonshire last year, which aided the senior players’ preparations in their trophy-winning Blast campaign.

The games, last July, saw the Royal London One-Day Cup put on show after victory over Surrey in the final at Lord’s.

Club Chairman Ian Mihill is delighted to see the Green and Golds back at Gorse Lane.

He said: “It’s thanks to outstanding work of Head Groundsman Keith Exton, and the rest of the ground team, that the facilities at the Club are now of a quality that enables Notts to host here.

“We are absolutely delighted about the relationship with Trent Bridge going forward and having Notts play at Gorse Lane is a huge privilege, and really positive for Grantham as a whole, so we look forward to welcoming players and spectators for the match.”
