Nottinghamshire captain Steven Mullaney is looking forward to getting his golf clubs back out when he takes part in the Notts CCC Winter Open at Rushcliffe Golf Club on Sunday 21 October.

The event starts at 9am, with one person associated with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in each four-man team.

With all Nottinghamshire players being Members at the Club, Mullaney is hoping to see a few of the lads on the podium come the end of the event.

“Rushcliffe Golf Club have been absolutely amazing with letting us use their facilities and we can’t wait to play with the Members in a couple of weeks,” said Mullaney.

“The Members have bought teams so we’ll go there and have a great day on the Sunday, and with awards given out afterwards, hopefully a few of the lads will be on the podium.

“During the summer a few of the lads play quite frequently. It’s a great way to clear your head, have a walk round for a few hours and whack a ball around, mostly into bushes when I am playing.”

The entry fee is £20 per person and that will include a bacon roll and coffee before play, and you can secure your place by clicking here.

After the event, the Golf Club will also make a donation to the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
