Quick runs from a combative Notts middle order, tight work from the bowlers and an acrobatic short leg catch were the highlights from day three of the Green and Golds' clash with Leicestershire at the Fischer County Ground.
Starting the day on 221-2, one run behind the hosts' first innings total of 222 all out, quickfire were the order of the day as Notts looked to set up a chance of victory and Peter Trego and Lyndon James duly obliged.
That allowed Steven Mullaney to declare on a lunch score of 343-8 before wickets from Trego, the skipper himself and Samit Patel left the hosts on 143-3 at the close.
