Samit Patel's fluent 80 helped Nottinghamshire to set an imposing fourth-innings target on day three of the Bob Willis Trophy clash.

Patel, whose knock included ten fours and a towering six, was ably supported by Joey Evison and Jake Ball in reaching his second half-century of the match.

His achievement mirrored that of Haseeb Hameed, who amassed 52 runs after hitting 68 in the first innings.

In reply, Derbyshire reached 129-1 at stumps.
