Joe Clarke is set for his first taste of Australia’s BBL after being signed by Perth Scorchers for the upcoming tenth edition of the T10 competition.

The Outlaws right-hander, who hit 371 runs in Notts’ victorious Vitality Blast campaign, will fly to Australia as a temporary replacement for Jason Roy whilst the England opener tours South Africa with his country.

Clarke will join fellow Outlaws Alex Hales and Dan Christian in Australia, with the duo part of the Sydney Thunder and Sixers squads respectively.

The men’s edition of the BBL is scheduled to commence on 10 December, with Perth Scorchers’ first assignment coming two days later.
