Tom Moores is set to play in the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League after being announced as one of Jaffna Stallions’ six overseas players.

The Notts gloveman, who became a two-time T20 Blast-winner last month, will join Ravi Bopara, Shoaib Malik, Usman Shinwari, Kyle Abbott and Duanne Olivier in the Stallions’ side.

Patel was selected by Dambulla Hawks in October's draft for the new twenty-over competition.

The tournament begins on 26 November, with Moores’ first opportunity to impress coming the following day.

Moores and Patel are set to meet for the first time on 30 November, with the re-match taking place on 7 December.

All matches will be played at Hambantota’s Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, with the final being played on 16 December.
