The Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ Society have confirmed that they will be unable to hold their usual close-season meetings until the new year at the earliest.

The society, which usually arranges events at Trent Bridge throughout the autumn and winter months, has made the announcement in light of current guidelines and restrictions designed to combat the spread of COVID-19. The society’s committee will, however, keep the situation under review in the hope that some meetings can be held ahead of the 2021 season.

Founded in 1972, the society has welcomed the likes of Paul Franks, Samit Patel, Paul Johnson and MCC’s John Stephenson as guest speakers in recent years.
