For the tenth time in eleven seasons, the Outlaws have progressed to the knockout stages of the T20 Blast.

With seven wins from eight completed games, Notts qualified for the quarter-finals as top seeds - amassing a host of impressive individual and collective statistics along the way.

As the Green and Golds prepare to face Leicestershire Foxes for a place at Finals Day, trentbridge.co.uk takes a look at some of the most imposing numbers racked up over the past few weeks.

Brilliance from Ball

Jake Ball: 14 wickets at 13.71

Jake Ball’s 14 scalps make him not only the Outlaws’ leading wicket-taker, but also the joint-most potent bowler in the competition as a whole.

Ball’s wickets have come from 25.1 overs – fewer than any of the other five men to have claimed 14 victims this season – and at a strike rate of 10.7.

Despite bowling the bulk of his overs in the powerplay or at the death, and plying his trade at a notoriously batsman-friendly Trent Bridge, the right-armer has managed to maintain an economy rate of 7.62 in this season’s campaign.

In total, the Outlaws have taken 56 wickets in the campaign so far - an average of seven per fixture.

Clarke’s classy campaign

Joe Clarke: 316 runs at 45.14

Joe Clarke began his Vitality Blast campaign with a sublime unbeaten hundred at Durham, and he has seldom cast a glance backward since.

The Outlaws number three’s century at Chester-le-Street, brought up with a towering six, is Notts’ highest individual score of the tournament so far.

Alongside Chris Nash, Clarke shared in a stand of 105 for the second wicket on that murky August afternoon – the largest partnership compiled by the Green and Golds in this year’s competition.

And the eight sixes hit by the right-hander that day – the joint-most by any batsman in this year’s Blast – helped to contribute towards Clarke’s quickfire strike rate of 179.54 in white-ball cricket this season.

Hales’ safe hands

Alex Hales: eight outfield catches

Long regarded as one of the finest fielders in the Trent Bridge dressing room, Alex Hales has produced performances to more than back up that assertion in 2020.

By taking four catches in the Bank Holiday Monday clash against Yorkshire – including a remarkable one-handed effort on the boundary’s edge – Hales set a new benchmark for a Notts outfielder in T20 cricket.

In total, Hales has snaffled eight scalps in the competition, placing him firmly amongst the Blast's most effective fielders.

With the bat, meanwhile, the opener got the Outlaws off to a flying start in their five-wicket win over Leicestershire at Trent Bridge, scoring 44 runs from 16 deliveries – a strike-rate of 275.

Big hitting across the board

1,325 runs scored (an average of 166 per innings). Nine individual scores of 50+, 135 fours, 49 sixes.

The Trent Bridge dressing room houses a batting line-up of enviable depth, with four Outlaws recording scores of at least 50 in the competition so far.

Joe Clarke, with two fifties and one century, leads the way, while Ben Duckett notched three half-centuries in the group stages.

Notts’ expansiveness with the bat helped them to embark on a commanding seven-game unbeaten run in the North Group, with their chase of Derbyshire on 17 September notable in being wrapped up with 35 deliveries to spare.
