Three Nottinghamshire players have been selected in Team of the Season XIs chosen by Wisden and The Cricketer magazine.

Ben Slater and Ben Duckett made the cut in Wisden’s Bob Willis Trophy team of the tournament, with Slater also named in The Cricketer’s best red-ball XI of 2020.

Tom Moores, meanwhile, was picked as Wisden’s gloveman in a Bob Willis Trophy XI composed of under 24s.

Slater made 425 runs in the Bob Willis Trophy, the fourth-most of any batsman in the competition.

The opener followed up his century whilst on loan at Leicestershire with a further hundred on his return to Notts, both coming against Lancashire.

Slater was joined on three figures by Duckett, whose 394 runs place him sixth in the overall Bob Willis Trophy standings.

The left-hander went on to score 150 in his final First-Class game of the season against Durham.

Moores’ prowess with the bat was showcased in a career-best knock of 106 against Yorkshire, his first century at Trent Bridge.

The wicketkeeper-batsman also claimed 15 dismissals in the tournament’s group stages.
