Professional cricketers across England and Wales are set to sport ‘Thank You NHS’ stickers on their protective helmets from Saturday to salute the extraordinary efforts of National Health Service workers throughout the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The stickers, which have been produced by helmet company Masuri on behalf of the PCA, will be displayed during the remainder of both the Vitality Blast and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy competitions, beginning with the Blast double-header at the Kia Oval and the four domestic women’s fixtures on Saturday.

The Association has worked with the ECB and the NHS on behalf of the PCA Players’ Committee to allow the stickers to be displayed, with representatives from each of the 18 first-class counties and the women’s regional centres backing the move to say a big thank you to our key workers.

“We’re very pleased to be able to pay tribute to the heroes of the NHS in our own unique way with a helping hand from Masuri," said PCA Interim CEO Rob Lynch, who led the negotiations with both the ECB and Masuri on behalf of PCA members.

“The work of both NHS staff and key workers across the country throughout this pandemic has been truly outstanding, and these helmet stickers represent our small way of saying thank you to them for their awe-inspiring efforts.”
