Tom Moores has joined Lanka Premier League outfit Kandy Warriors for the remainder of the 2021 franchise campaign.

Moores, who last week lifted the Abu Dhabi T10 League trophy with Deccan Gladiators, returns to Sri Lanka as a reigning champion having won the inaugural competition with Jaffna Stallions last year.

The wicketkeeper-batter, who is replacing West Indian Devon Thomas, took six catches in five games for the Stallions with a top score of 23 against Colombo Kings.

The 25-year-old will join Nottinghamshire's Samit Patel who is plying his trade for table topping Galle Gladiators, while the Warriors themselves sit fifth without a win in their opening three games.

The group stages of the competition runs until 17th December, with the qualifiers and final taking place in the subsequent week.
