Trent Bridge’s 2022 Vitality International T20 between England and India will now take place on Sunday 10 July, as part of a wider rescheduling of the host nation’s summer programme.

All tickets purchased for the original fixture date of Sunday 3 July remain valid, with ticketholders not required to take any action to retain their seats.

Supporters who can no longer attend are entitled to a full refund, with further details to be communicated directly with purchasers.

The IT20 series is now set to commence on Thursday 7 July at the Ageas Bowl, before Edgbaston hosts the second encounter two days later.

The rearrangements will allow the fifth match of the LV= Insurance Test Series between the sides, which was due to be held last month at Emirates Old Trafford, to take place in July 2022.

With India leading the series 2-1, the concluding clash will begin on Friday 1 July in Birmingham following an agreement between the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The fixture cannot be staged at Emirates Old Trafford owing to clashes with pre-planned events at the venue, which will leave insufficient time to prepare a Test pitch.

Instead, Lancashire’s home venue will now play host to the second Test against South Africa, starting on Thursday 25 August. This match was previously due to take place at Edgbaston.

England's Royal London One Day Series with India will now commence on Tuesday 12 July at the Kia Oval, before Lord’s hosts the second game of the series on Thursday 14 July. The final 50-over fixture will be held at Emirates Old Trafford on Sunday 17 July.
