Day Three of Nottinghamshire’s LV= Insurance County Championship clash with Hampshire regretfully looks set to be periodically interrupted by the weather.

Follow below for rolling updates on prospects of play.

09:45am - The covers were brought on at close of play last night, and have remained affixed to the square ever since, with bands of drizzle passing over the Ageas Bowl. However, we have our first sighting of the Hampshire groundstaff, who are inspecting the condition of the square.

10:00am - It has just been announced that the umpires will conduct an inspection at 10:30am. It is not currently raining, and the ground staff are hard at work, so there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic at present.

11:00am - The umpires have concluded their inspection, and lunch is now scheduled to be taken at 12:00pm. There will be no play before then.

12:00pm - We have cricket scheduled! The covers are now almost completely off, save for the hover cover, and the start of play is scheduled for 1:00pm. There are 75 overs lined up for the remainder of the day.

1:00pm - We do, at last, have cricket being played upon the Ageas Bowl turf. Follow the action live here.
