Following Nottinghamshire's defeat to Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl, Green and Gold captain Steven Mullaney admitted his side were "not good enough" yet took heart from still being in the hunt for silverware with one game remaining.

Academy graduate Liam Patterson-White made 53 with the bat and collected five for 41 in the hosts' second innings as Notts were bowled 178.

That left the Green and Golds a target of 250 for victory, but despite an enterprising 33 from Ben Duckett, Liam Dawson’s return of five for 45 meant they were dismissed for 127.
