Ben Slater credited a combination of talent and dogged determination for delivering Nottinghamshire's first top-three finish in the County Championship since 2015.
The opener, who hit an unbeaten 79 as Notts signed off their Division One campaign by beating Yorkshire, also spoke of his personal pride after finishing the season as his county's leading run-scorer.
