Ben Martindale struck two off the final ball to secure a tie for Notts Second XI against Lancashire, a result mirroring the one achieved by the Outlaws against Lightning in the 2021 Vitality Blast.
James Hayes secured 4-18 from his four overs, while Academy spinner Farhan Ahmed took 2-22, as the visitors were held to 162-7 off their allotted overs having been inserted at Worksop College.
Top-order cameos from Ben Slater (32) and Sol Budinger (29), and a 46-run contribution from Haseeb Hameed elevated the Outlaws towards the target in response, before Dane Schadendorf and Martindale scampered ten off the final over to seal the result.
The pendulum swung the way of Notts in the early stages when Hayes had both Dane Vilas and Phil Salt caught, before Rob Jones and George Bell staged a fightback.
The former finished with an unbeaten 76 from 53, with Bell (36) and former Notts bowler Luke Wood bowled by Ahmed in the middle overs.
Luke Wells partnered Jones with a 17-ball cameo worth 31, before Martindale had him caught by King in the 18th over, with Hayes picking up a further pair of wickets in the 19th.
Ben Slater smashed 23 off the fifth over as Notts began their reply, despite losing opening partner Budinger to Bailey an over prior.
A six sandwiched in between four fours gave the Outlaws the impetus, but Slater too departed in the eighth when caught by George Balderson off the bowling of Wells.
Joey Evison and Hameed shared a 47-run stand in the middle overs, but failed to find the ropes with consistency, Balderson bowling economically to restrict the hosts.
The wicket of Evision for 19 in the 15th over was followed by Matt Montgomery (4) in the 17th and Hameed in the 19th, handing the momentum to the Red Rose, before 14 off the final eight balls handed each side a share of the spoils.
