Ben Martindale and Haseeb Hameed took Notts’ Second XI to an unassailable total against Leeds/ Bradford UCCE, as the Outlaws won by 60 runs at Weetwood.

Martindale smashed an unbeaten 91 from 55 deliveries, including ten fours and two sixes, while captain Hameed hit 53 from 39 balls.

The duo shared a 106-run stand for the second wicket after Ben Slater departed in the second over, with Liam Patterson-White maintaining the momentum with an unbeaten 28 from 18 deliveries at number four.

Replying to Notts 180/2, Leeds/Bradford lost Harry Dobson (1) to Toby Pettman in the powerplay, before captain Nic Keast (37) and keeper Tom Keast (34) compiled 38 for the second wicket.

The pair would depart to Patterson-White and James Hayes respectively, before Farhan Ahmed pinned Joe Pocklington without scoring and Pettman secured a second scalp by castling Harvey Rankin.

Dane Paterson took the contest’s final wicket, with Sam Dorsey departing for 21, before the hosts reached 120/6 from their 20 overs.
