Sarah Bryce has called for The Blaze to maintain the levels that have carried them to Vitality Blast Finals Day ahead of their final two group stage fixtures.
Bryce and her teammates secured their spot at the Kia Oval showpiece with a professional victory over Essex in Chelmsford on Sunday afternoon.
Now, the Scotswoman is calling for the side not to let up ahead of twin trips to Somerset and Hampshire to round out the group stage.
“I think we definitely want to try and get a bit of momentum going into Finals Day,” said the 25-year-old.
“I think a lot can be said for that, so we’ll be going into these last two games in the same way we have all the others.
“We’ll be trying to put in some good performances, and get a couple of wins going into Finals Day! It’s definitely one game at a time for now.
There are still things about Finals Day that we don’t quite know just yet, so we’ll take a ‘one game at a time’ approach, see where we’re at, and once we’re there we’ll back ourselves against anyone.”
Bryce has been included in a squad of 13 for the trip to Taunton, which is an unchanged party bar the recently Hundred-selected Charley Phillips dropping out.
“I’ve not played a huge amount at Taunton,” added Bryce. “We obviously had the Finals Day for the Vitality Women’s T20 County Cup there earlier in the year.
“That obviously didn’t go quite how we wanted it to, so we’ll be looking to rectify that, but I’m looking forward to playing at a ground with plenty of history!”
Bryce also admitted she is excited about the prospect of taking on the West Country outfit, and dismissed any suggestion that a washout in the first meeting between the sides last month has affected any preparations.
“[Somerset] have got some great players, and we’ve already played them in the 50-over competition so we do know a bit about them even if we haven’t managed to get a T20 in against them,” she said.
“We’ll do our research beforehand and have a preview, and we’ll make sure we’ve got plans in place to go up against them.”
On a personal level, Bryce is also pleased with how her performances as a wicketkeeper are progressing, while also acknowledging her desire to have a greater impact with bat in hand.
“I’m really pleased with how things have gone with the gloves,” she said. “I think, with the bat, I’ve had a few starts here and there.
“Over the next couple of games, hopefully I can really put in that big match-winning performance for the team!
“As a team, I think we’re in a great spot. Loads of different people have stood up at different times, which is really exciting. There are a lot of really positive signs going forward.
“We’ve had some games where we’ve been brilliant with the bat and some where we’ve been brilliant with the ball, so if we can put the two together, I think we’ll be in a strong place!”
