Wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones has won the Metro Bank ODI Women’s Player of the Summer for 2025.

Jones, who struck 302 ODI runs in 2025 at an average of 75.50, earned the accolade after picking up 82.07 Most Valuable Player points under the PCA’s MVP rankings.

The 32-year-old also showed her prowess behind the stumps, registering a total of nine catches and three stumpings to yield her 18 fielding points.

She leads a trio of The Blaze players at the top of the rankings, after Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tammy Beaumont finished second and third, respectively.

The 32-year-old also showed her prowess behind the stumps, registering a total of nine catches and three stumpings to yield her 18 fielding points.

Jones, who previously won the Charlotte Edwards Cup Player of the Year in 2022, has won her first summer award with England.

Sciver-Brunt, meanwhile, finished second with 63.65 points while Beaumont came home in third with 55.40 points.

Jones joins her Blaze teammate as one of the two winners of an England Women’s MVP Award this summer.

Sciver-Brunt won the Vitality IT20 Women’s Player of the Summer after picking up 110.76 MVP points in the shortest format.

The newly-appointed England captain also finished top of the Overall Women’s International MVP table for the summer with 175.83 points.

“I have loved my new role,” said Jones. “The West Indies series went better for me but that is part of opening and riding the highs and the lows of it and learning as quickly as you can. But I have enjoyed it and it’s been good fun.

“India presented a huge challenge which we enjoyed. As a player you want to be tested against the best.

“The biggest thing to work on with opening is the mindset. Looking ahead to the World Cup, if I have the same job I will need to adapt to different opening bowlers. I need to trust my game and reacting to the ball will be key.”
