Among the topics the England opener discussed was the team’s ongoing renaissance under new head coach Charlotte Edwards and captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.

She explained the impact that both are having on her game and also went on to speak on the wider squad, and her pride at the strength in depth that England are developing.

Most of all, the 26-year-old is thrilled to be stepping onto the Trent Bridge turf for what will be her first white-ball international at the venue.
