All-rounders Georgia Elwiss and Kathryn Bryce have been nominated for the PCA Player of the Month award for May.
The top four women’s domestic players have been calculated using the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX, which picks out the top performers across every fixture.
Scotland captain Bryce has been nominated for a second straight month after hitting 295 runs and claiming four wickets throughout May.
She is yet to be dismissed in the Vitality Blast, hitting an unbeaten 60 against Bears at Trent Bridge before following up with a vital 49 not out in a seven-wicket win over Lancashire Thunder.
Meanwhile, Elwiss topped the MVP rankings for the month with a weighty haul of 118.15 points after scoring 339 runs, at an average of 84.75, and taking seven wickets.
She has also begun the Vitality Blast in imperious form with the bat, hitting back-to-back half-centuries against Bears and Thunder, earning herself the Match MVP in the latter clash.
The MVP rankings take into account batting, bowling, and fielding contributions, as well as match-defining contributions using a unique algorithm developed by CricViz.
The PCA Player of the Month will be decided by a 50:50 split between the PCA MVP rankings and the public vote, with the poll closing on Wednesday 4th June at 10pm.
