Joe Clarke and Georgia Elwiss have been named as the John Pye Auctions Players of the Month for May.
Clarke enjoyed a productive month in both red and white-ball cricket. In the Rothesay County Championship, he hit 119 against Durham and made scores of 64 and 94 in a winning cause against Yorkshire. He then made 58 from 23 balls in the Outlaws’ Vitality Blast opener, as Notts completed a record run-chase against Bears Men.
Elwiss passed 50 on five occasions across the Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup, with a high score of 82 in a remarkable tied game at Surrey. She also made 58 against Hampshire and 75 against Somerset, before opening her T20 campaign with back-to-back half-centuries against Bears Women and Lancashire.
They were presented with their awards prior to the Outlaws' Vitality Blast clash with Worcestershire Rapids by Owen Ashwell from John Pye Auctions.
