England Men and South Africa are set to do battle on Sunday 14 September at Trent Bridge in a Vitality IT20 from 2.30pm.

Hours of play and overs

The match is scheduled to start at 2.30pm and conclude by 5.40pm, but an extra 60 minutes is available if required. The number of overs each team faces can be reduced, to a minimum of five overs per side. All decisions on play will be at the discretion of the umpires and officials.

4.20pm: Sadly, the rain has beaten us today, and England vs South Africa has been abandoned. General admission ticketholders will automatically receive a refund within 30 days, while those in hospitality and The Century Club will be contacted directly.

4.10pm: The heavens remain open. It has been confirmed, meanwhile, that the latest possible start time for play would be 5.46pm.

3.25pm: The rain has, regrettably, returned.

3.15pm: There has been a pause in the rain. We await further news from the officials.

2.15pm: With rain continuing to fall, the toss has been further delayed 

2.00pm: The toss has been delayed until 2.10pm.

1.30pm: A shower has now blown in above Trent Bridge.

12.45pm: Gates are now open, and it's still dry in West Bridgford.

11.20am: The conditions remain fine.

10.30am: It remains dry at present.
