Assistant Coach Ant Botha described Nottinghamshire as “a team of tough men” after a day of toil in the field against Sussex in Hove.

Botha talked of the fighting spirit of the Green and Golds and, noting that the game is only halfway through, declared that the squad will keep battling for a result.

He also assessed conditions, discussed the bowling attack’s performance as a unit, and gave his view on the fielding performance.
