Notts Outlaws are delighted to support the rainbow laces campaign during the T20 game against Durham tonight.
All games in the Kia Super League and NatWest T20 Blast will feature the rainbow laces across the weekend (10 – 13 August) as the cricketing world shows it support to Stonewall’s initiative.
The campaign, ran by the LGBT equality charity, aims to build awareness and understanding of the issues affecting LGBT people in sport by showing cricket, and other sports, as a united front.
Players, coaches, umpires, tv presenters and even fans will don the rainbow laces to make LGBT people feel welcome and included at any level of cricket.
There are a number of different initiatives across the weekend, including:
• Rainbow flags will be displayed during the guard of honour as the teams take to the pitch and around the ground during the game.
• Rainbow stickers will be added to the stumps that will be used during the game
• Messages of support on the big screen for the Stonewall campaign
