Alex Hales marked his return to Trent Bridge with a fifty, but Notts Outlaws ultimately fell short in their pursuit of Worcestershire Rapids' 161 on the opening night of the 2019 Vitality Blast.

The opener hit 52 from 34 balls, and formed a useful third-wicket partnership with Jake Libby (24), but the Rapids were able to take wickets at regular intervals to secure a 28-run victory.

Earlier, the Outlaws had restricted Worcestershire to 102-6 before Ed Barnard's 19-ball 42 added crucial impetus.
