Highlights from day three of Nottinghamshire’s Specsavers County Championship fixture against Hampshire, as centuries from Sam Northeast and Ajinkya Rahane took the game away from Steven Mullaney’s men.
The captain took two of the four Hampshire wickets to fall – and there were also solitary scalps for Stuart Broad and Matthew Carter – as the home side declared their second innings on 367-5.
In pursuit of 439 to win, or surviving 111 overs to draw the game, Nottinghamshire lost the early wickets of Ben Duckett and Ben Slater.
Chris Nash and night watchman Matthew Carter battled through to the close with the score on 42-2.
