Memorable meeting

It took three summers before the Outlaws would enjoy their first T20 success over Leicestershire, in a memorable Trentside encounter in 2006.

Leicestershire, one of the Twenty20 Cup’s early success stories, made 136-8 from their 20 overs. AJ Harris’ miserly four-over spell of 2-13, and a similarly economical performance from Mark Ealham (1-15 from four overs), were crucial contributions in containing the Foxes’ line-up.

In response, Notts were reeling at 2-2, with openers Stephen Fleming and Graeme Swann departing early. David Hussey, however, would steady the ship with a quickfire 44*.

And Ealham would go on to make an impact on the fixture with the bat, biffing 30 runs from a single David Masters over.

The all-rounder finished with 31* from just seven deliveries as the hosts wrapped up a five-wicket success with almost two overs to spare.
