Joe Clarke hit his sixth half-century of the 2021 LV= Insurance County Championship season as Nottinghamshire fought their way towards 300 at Somerset.
Clarke complied a typically-fluent 59, with contributions from Liam Patterson-White (46*), Steven Mullaney (42), debutant Sam Northeast (34) and Lyndon James (30), as the visitors shaded the first day of the Division One clash.

Lancashire and Yorkshire are the visitors to Trent Bridge with four day matches commencing at 10.30am on 5 and 21 September respectively.
