Academy star Fateh Singh stood out in testing circumstances in his second List A appearance having been starved of an opportunity to take to the field against Yorkshire.
The young all-rounder scored an assured 24 and bowled a tidy spell of three overs against the eventual champions.
The left-hander’s efforts with the Academy, Second XI and first-team over the course of the season were rewarded with selection for England U19s against West Indies and Sri Lanka, and inclusion in the Young Lions’ World Cup squad for January 2022
