Notts Outlaws’ Royal London Cup campaign commences this weekend, with the Green and Golds looking to take their strong form this season into a third format of the game.

Led by Peter Trego, the Outlaws will visit a pair of picturesque outposts during the group stage campaign, with fixtures at Welbeck against Somerset and Leicestershire (Friday 30 July and Sunday 1 August) being followed by a clash with Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Grantham (Tuesday 10 August).

The competition culminates at Trent Bridge on 19 August – the first time the 50-over showpiece will have been staged in Nottingham.

Group-stage tickets are on-sale here, with tickets for the Royal London Cup Final available here.

“This year’s Royal London Cup provides a great opportunity for some talented players in our squad to show what they can do – and there could hardly be a greater incentive than the prospect of reaching a home final,” said Head Coach Peter Moores.

“But before we can turn our minds to that, we have a group stage to navigate that is sure to be keenly-fought – played out in the kind of outground surroundings that have always been part of the fabric of the county game.

“We’ve always received such a warm welcome at Welbeck, the pitches we’ve played on there have produced some really entertaining contests, and it’s great to be able to perform in front of our supporters in the north of the county.

“And it was such a shame that our 2019 game at Grantham was washed away after all the hard work they had put into staging the fixture, so we’re excited to be able to make a visit in midsummer this time.”

Tickets, priced at £14 for adults, £11 for senior citizens and under 21s, and £7 for under 16s, are available here.

Tickets for Notts’ game against Derbyshire at the Incora County Ground (Wednesday 4 August) are available here.
