Alex Hales praised the resolve of his Outlaws side as the Green and Golds defeated Durham by 13 runs at Emirates Riverside to make it two wins in a row in the Vitality Blast.

The opening batsmen smashed 96* from 54 balls, including ten fours and four sixes, and put on 126 for the third wicket with Ben Duckett, as the visitors finished on 196.

In reply, Durham struck 74 runs from the powerplay but experience prevailed as Luke Fletcher finished with figures of one for 31 from his four overs, and Samit Patel took two for 29.
