Double centurion Clarke trailblazed his way to 229 without reply, forming three ton-heavy partnerships in a memorable performance with the bat in response to a dominant first innings from Warwickshire.
Moores acknowledged the disappointment of the opening two days, but was pleased to ensure that points had been earned through a strong team performance to support Clarke in his outstanding visit at the crease.
