Nottinghamshire trio Jenny Gunn, Kirstie Gordon and Lucy Higham have been snapped up by Loughborough Lightning for a stint in the KIA Women’s Super League.

Gunn, who returned to Notts ahead of the 2019 season, took 14 wickets at 16.14 for Lightning last season.

Meanwhile, Gordon topped the wicket-taking charts for Notts in 2018’s 50-over competition, before being the most dangerous bowler in the Super League with 17 wickets at 12.47.

This earned the Loughborough University student a call-up to the England squad for the T20 World Cup in the West Indies, where she was her country’s leading bowler, taking eight scalps.

Higham, the current Notts T20 captain, was a regular for Lightning last season, and has taken 17 wickets at 19.29 in her 20-over career for her county.

The 2019 KIA Super League begins on Tuesday 6th August, with Lightning set to play their penultimate scheduled fixture at Trent Bridge.

The clash with Lancashire Thunder will take place at 11.30am on Sunday 25th August, four hours before Notts Outlaws face Yorkshire Vikings at the same venue.

Tickets for the double-header, and for all of Notts’ T20 Vitality Blast games this summer, are on sale here.
