Utilising the schools network to grow participation in cricket

Cricket in Primary Schools

The Chance to Shine Primary Schools Programme aims to inspire children to be excited about cricket whilst teaching them how to play and ensuring that they learn academic and life skills along the way.

Delivery ranges from taster sessions to multi-week programmes, culminating in opportunities to take part in ECB U13s and U15s local and national competitions.

The programme also supports staff to teach the sport, so that they develop a culture of cricket within their school. With opportunities for schools to compete - internally or by taking part in a local tournament - the programme helps children take the next steps to progress on their cricketing journey.
