Junior Outlaws

Encouraging every child in Nottinghamshire to take up an opportunity to engage with cricket

Junior Outlaws coaching sessions are held throughout the school holidays at Trent Bridge and at clubs across the county. The sessions cover technical and tactical skills for batting, bowling, wicket keeping and fielding, through a variety of fixed, variable and games based practises.

Coaching is split into three different age groups:

8-11 years - Intro to Hardball

In line with the Dynamos age range, the intro to hardball course aims to provide youngsters with the confidence and knowledge to take the next step on their playing journey. We will often use soft ball drills to develop the skills necessary for hardball cricket, before beginning to introduce incrediballs and hard balls. The fun element will remain paramount with a host of softball/incrediball quickfire games.

11-13 years - All-Round Hardball Skills

Courses aimed at junior cricketers who are looking to improve and solidify the core principles. These courses often include group work, skillset rotations, net practice, game based practice and personal feedback.

13-16 years - Skill-Specific Hardball

Courses aimed at established cricketers, with a focus on specific skillsets, looking at the technical and tactical aspects through video footage and feedback, competitive net scenarios and game based practice.
