The proud Cornishman is a genuinely promising fast bowler and more than useful lower order batsman. He claimed more than 100 wickets last summer in matches for the academy and the seconds.
Strong, fit, with good aggression and a good bouncer he should be a welcome addition to the first team ranks and under the tutelage of Peter Moores, Paul Franks and Andy Pick should fulfil most of the goals set for him this season.
