Nottinghamshire First-Class Debut – 4 September 2018 v Yorkshire

Chesterfield-born Slater settled quickly into his new environment after moving from Derbyshire in 2018, making a hundred on his home debut against Yorkshire.

The opener made his First-Class debut in 2013 and has scored over 4,000 runs at that level, with 1,025 of them coming last season, his best in the game.

Making the most of an opportunity to score some early season runs this time, Slater scored a century against Cambridge MCCU in the First-Class match at Fenner’s, sharing in an opening stand of 325 with Ben Duckett.

His maiden one-day ton for Notts came, appropriately, against his former county Derbyshire at the County Ground.

Indeed, the 28-year-old's List A record stands comparison with the very best, with his Outlaws average sitting at an impressive 55.55 from 36 matches.
